‘Tis the Season for Easy Holiday Makeup

From day outings to festive soirées, these looks take their cue from nature and celebrate the skin you’re in

The gifts are wrapped, the Hallmark movies are in full force and while chestnuts are roasting on an open fire, and the fresh fallen snow is glistening from your window, this winter-ready scene is the perfect backdrop for some easy festive looks.

In the northern hemisphere, the time is ripe for the ever-popular, TikTok viral sensation aptly called the “Cold Girl” look.

A spinoff from the sunburnt look in the summer, this frosty feel is achieved primarily by concentrating the blush on the apple of your cheeks with an added dab of pink on your nose, replicating that “I just got in from a winter walk” or, “fresh off the slopes” look without actually skiing.

 Start off with a matte canvas and dot NUDIES BLOOM ALL OVER FACE DEWY COLOR in Cherry Blossom Babe on your cheeks and a light dot on your nose (you’re not going for a Rudolph look here) and blend with a sponge or brush. Add some NUDIES GLOW ALL OVER FACE HIGHLIGHT in Euphorix for extra iridescence on cheeks and above the brow. For eyes, keep the shimmer white or silver, we suggest brushing 99% Angel Glimmer across the lids. For lips, use a similar shade, like MAGNETIC LUMINOUS EYE COLOR in Angel as a highlight pencil just above the Cupid’s bow before applying any shade of pink or even red. Concentrate the colour in the centre of your lips while smudging out the sides for that “just-kissed” look. Taylor applies Pulse GEL COLOR LIP & CHEEK BALM for a perfect pink. Finish the look with a natural nude LIP GLACÉ in NUDE 02 for some shine. You can forego the eyeliner and mascara for a more natural look, but curl those lashes before you head out the door, either way!

Amp up this look easily for evening parties, dinners out with friends and of course, ringing in the new year.
